Taken from the north side of Bear Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, this photo shows Longs Peak at sunset through the colors of the changing Aspen leaves. I have visited Bear Lake many times for sunset, but usually stay at lake level and hope for calm winds and clean reflections in the lake. When it was obvious that the winds on this night weren’t going to entirely work in my favor, I climbed up inside the aspens along the north shore and found this view.
